Purchased this product a few days ago and used it for the first time two days ago. I am a long time fan/user of electronic muscle stim as a supplement to my regular workouts, and this product made my arms incredibly sore in the way that lets me know the muscles received a great stimulation. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to add to their routine. A recent article in the Wall Street journal talked about how stim will NOT make you toned but it will make your muscles stronger. I use this product along with a regular gym routine to train my bi’s and tri’s.

EDIT – April 2010 – have had this product for 4 months now and wanted to amend my review. The little metal clips where the power pack attaches to the arm unit are a bit flimsy. Mine have come out about 3 times and I was lucky enough to find them and put them back into their sockets. I had to use pliers to force it back in. For a 0 item this should not be the case, I still use it and it works – but I would change my review to 4 stars based on this annoyance.

Regardless of what may have been reported in the press as mentioned in another review, I have personally used this product for months and achieved incredible toning results. My triceps and biceps have grown several inches and the improvement is very noticeable.

I’ve worked my arms off and on over the years using conventional means; e.g., weights, pulleys, machines, etc., and the results I have achieved with this product are at least as good, if not better. I plan to buy another one just to keep it on hand as a backup.

“This DVD is recommended for beginners because there are not may reps or sets, slower paced, lightweights are used throughout and there are many options and modifications. I’ll say this much, the set is really nice and Leisa is backed up by two well-coiffed smiling ladies. Leisa offers a lot of equipment one can use, such as…pillows! for chest work, if you don’t have a step nor a bench. But, you need a chair because there are routines where she works from sitting on a no-arm chair. Yoga is an option on the menu, 10 minutes of a couple of rounds of the sun salutation using the band during warrior positions. It’s a less serious and easy-going yoga segment. Again, this DVD is definitely for beginners or for people who want a less intense workout for your arms.”
